Our teaching

Approach

From the two-year-old room through to age five, learning is built on sequences, projects and multi-task teaching units that bring together natural sciences, social sciences, mathematics and language. Specialist subjects — music, physical education, English, movement and new technologies — complement and connect what each room is working on.

Throughout the year there are first-hand experiences that support each child’s path, including outings and camps. Each room is led by a teacher and a teaching assistant, and is equipped with heating and air conditioning, changing tables in the two-year-old room, and hot and cold water.

What we

Work on

A movement lesson

Movement and expression

A form of expression that widens children’s emotional range, enriches their senses and perception, and lets them explore through movement different ways of knowing the world.

An environmental education activity

Environmental education

We want our children to feel part of the environment around them, as a starting point for sustainable, committed citizenship.

A relationships education activity

Relationships education

We work on relationships, feelings and affection, caring for one’s own body and other people’s, and the difference between what is public, private and intimate, building solidarity, respect and inclusion.

An English lesson in Early Years

English

We begin the journey into a new language from age three, through play, laying the ground for what comes later.

A robotics activity

Computational thinking

The ability to frame a problem and set out its possible solutions. It takes in logical reasoning, critical and creative thinking, collaboration and problem solving.

Additional services

Dining room

A fully equipped kitchen and professional cooks who prepare the food fresh each day, in full view, following a menu that meets the nutritional standards of the Buenos Aires education authority. Alternative menus are available where needed.

Breakfast and afternoon snack

Every child gets breakfast, and those staying the full day also get an afternoon snack. Both are healthy and nutritious: milk, mate cocido, cereal, biscuits or fruit.

Early drop-off

We take children from 7:30, with teachers assigned until each room’s own teachers arrive.

Extended hours

Extended hours after the half day, until 16:30, are available on request.

Medical service

External medical service and a fully equipped first aid room. We have a defibrillator and our staff are trained in CPR.

Play areas and sports field

Covered and open playgrounds for break times, and a sports field for physical education lessons.
